10/25 Full Moon Yoga + Sound Bath

October finds us somewhere between gathering and letting go.

The harvest has been tended. The season has asked for our energy in a hundred different directions - growing, reaching, creating, carrying, showing up. And as the light begins to change, the living world starts making different decisions. Leaves loosen from branches. Energy travels back toward the roots. What has grown begins to become nourishment for what comes next.

The Hunter’s Moon has long been associated with this time after the harvest, when its bright light offered greater visibility into the evening and supported the gathering of resources for the colder season ahead. Light stretching a little further into the dark. Enough illumination to see what is here. Enough to notice what is worth gathering. Enough to set your gaze toward where you are going.

This practice is an invitation into that same kind of listening.

What have you harvested from this season of your life? What is actually nourishing you? What are you carrying that requires more energy than it gives back? What does your body know it will need to feel sustained through the season ahead?

Led by Sonali, we’ll explore these questions through restorative yoga, meditation, breath + somatic inquiry letting the body participate in the reflection rather than asking the mind to find every answer. We’ll move closer to the ground, toward support, toward the roots. Shapes will be held with spaciousness, offering the nervous system time to settle enough to notice what has been difficult to hear while moving quickly.

From there, the practice will dissolve into sound. Crystal singing bowls, gong, chimes, harmonium, ocean drum, and other healing instruments will move through the space as a living symphony of vibration - sometimes subtle, sometimes expansive, offering another language through which the body can listen, soften, feel and receive.

Perhaps clarity is less about seeing the entire path and more about having enough light for the next few steps. As nature sheds what it can no longer carry and gathers its resources closer to the roots, we’ll practice doing the same: resting after the harvest, taking inventory of our own energy, listening for what wants to remain, and tending what will sustain us as we move deeper into the season.

Come gather beneath the Hunter’s Moon. Bring what you’ve grown. Bring what you’re still making sense of. Bring the questions that haven’t found their answers yet.

We’ll meet them slowly - with earth beneath us, sound around us, and enough quiet to notice where your own gaze is asking to turn.
